For providing general ambient lighting select overhead ceiling lights that are in keeping with your decorations. In smaller utility areas a single light should suffice, but if the area is larger consider having two or more ceiling lights. Many of our factory style hanging pendant lights have a vintage salvaged style that will create an authentic workhouse feel to these utility areas. Outdoor hanging porch lanterns have even been used by some of our customers to enhance the industrial look and feel of their utility rooms.
Flush fitting ceiling lights or recessed ceiling lights are perfect for providing ambient lighting in rooms with lower ceiling heights. For a more up to date look consider having some track lighting or a spotlight bar with adjustable spotlights - these come in all shapes and sizes so there will be one to suit whatever the size of your utility room.
To provide the necessary task lighting there are lots of options available.
