Spot lights, recessed lights, sunken lights, surface spots and eyeball lights - so many different names for these small lights. Ceiling spotlights and wall spotlights are hugely versatile light fittings that provide directional light and by carefully selecting the correct spots you can add character to traditional interiors. The vast majority of recessed down lights and spotlights are modern but here at Bespoke Lights we have sourced a wonderful range of quality British made recessed spotlights in a choice of period finishes. Surface mounted spotlights provide an alternative to recessed down lights and by choosing vintage styles they are great for lighting in traditional kitchens. Surface spots can be used where it is not possible to have recessed spots or because you do not wish to cut holes into your ceilings.

Spotlights are extremely versatile lights - spotlight bars with two, three or more lights on a long straight or curved ceiling bars are ideal for kitchen and utility room lighting as each individual spotlight is usually adjustable to direct the beam of light where it is needed. Recessed spotlights or downlights can be used in many rooms and positioned correctly will provide an even spread of light in kitchens, bathrooms and living areas too. Spotlights positioned over a bed can be used as reading lights, they can direct light onto pictures, art work and other wall features and can be used in a study or home office to provide directional light onto work surfaces and desks. Low energy and LED spotlights are a good choice as they are economical to run as well as being more enviromentally friendly.
